Event Notes:

One of our last events for the summer was in Longview, Washington about an hour north of Portland, and at first we were not quite sure if we wanted to travel that far for a Saturday morning start. However, the SE Portland Relay invited us for Friday evening (Nana got to join us!!) so we decided to stay over in PDX and go north the next morning. It turned out to be our most favorite one yet for many reasons.

Turns out the local Public TV station, KLTV was there to video the event and the young man videotaping said he could get us a copy.

It's the first time any of my speaking/ singing events have been recorded, so I wanted to share it with you, many who have not been able to attend. Though, Anita and I know you have all been there in spirit.

These American Cancer Society events have been an amazing way for us to give back to the organization that helped fund the research that saved my life.

The point at which I begin my talk is about 10 minutes into the opening (DVD only), but I am glad he included all of it because it really shows what his event is all about...HOPE! And when you see all of the survivors telling about their original diagnosis and subsequent time cancer free, it is quite moving.
